A couple of years ago there were only three sizes that were mainly used the 215/70r15, 215/75r16 and 225/75r16. Because more and more different chassis are used from main dealers the size range has grown a little.

The main reason that Motorhome’s use these specific tyres.
A motorhome carry’s lots of weight there for this results in higher tyre pressures up to 5-bar or 85-psi, a standard commercial rated van tyre can only be inflated to a maximum of 65-psi so running these at 85-psi would be dangerous and cause irregular tyre ware.
