The Rainsport 2 has a low risk of aquaplaning thanks to 2 technological key features. First, the V-shaped tread efficiently displaces the water that leads to a loss of control in the rain. Secondly, the tread blocks have a 3-dimensional design that further aids water dispersal. Essentially the V-shaped tread makes the Rainsport 2 a top performer in the wet.

WHICH? BEST BUYS – Uniroyals RainSport 2 and newly launched RainExpert have been named Which? Best Buy in the consumer associations most recent tyre test. The RainSport 2 tyre also received an extra credit, a Which? exceptional value honour. The RainSport 2 tyre scored equal overall to a leading premium competitor in the 205/55 R16W test. Which? commented that you could buy four RainSport 2s for the price of three of the competitors tyres. Which? also commented on the RainSport 2s performance during the test; "the tyre has good all-round grip, handles well in wet and dry conditions and resists aquaplaning well on the straights and in bends."
