Tyre Tests

Independent tyre tests are carried out across Europe, generally by motoring magazine companies and offer a great deal of useful info on tyre performance. The UK tests generally focus on high performance tyres in 17” rim size upwards, while European offerings include specific winter tyre tests.

Although tyre tests offer some great, in-depth tyre performance information they do have their limitations. The most obvious of these would be longevity, tyre tests are unable to supply any information about how long a tyre lasts. Tyre review websites have the benefit of including feedback from the public which will include such data. However, it does appear that the majority of reviewers will submit their thoughts soon after purchase and again any longevity or age related problems will not be identified.

We are a true independent and sell tyres by all manufacturers, this means that fit new tyres and see the tyre at the end of its lifespan. From speaking to customers we are able to gather invaluable information on tyre performance in all conditions. We can also find out how many miles the vehicle has covered up until the tyre needs to be replaced. Also some tyres are more likely to develop faults such as uneven wear, distortion and sidewall cracking and we will aim to share our experience to aid your decision making.
